Welcome to MA Education TEFLThe School of Education at the University of Birmingham, England has been involved in the study of Education for over 100 years and has an excellent reputation for TEFL. We offer a TEFL programme that has an excellent worldwide reputation. If you are interested in getting an MA (Masters) qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, we would be interested in hearing from you. The MA Education TEFL programme helps you to become a better English language teacher. The Masters course is designed to be both practical and to give you an introduction to necessary investigation and research tools. We believe that the best teachers are those who can reflect on and investigate practice. There are three core modules (Communicative Language Teaching, Second Language Acquisition and Language Discourse and Society). These MA modules give you a strong grounding in appropriate classroom methodology, course and materials design. It can be confusing choosing the right programme for you. There are so many terms! (TEFL, TESOL, EFL, ESOL, ESL.) We believe that our distinctive Masters course has a number of strong features:
